Biography
My first encounter with photography was when I was an 11yr old schoolboy. I had an opportunity to go to Switzerland and my dad bought me a Brownie 127 camera to record the trip. Sadly, no photos remain of that holiday, but the thrill of seeing pictures I had taken - indeed the whole process of capturing a moment in time - has never left me. 56 years later, I still get a kick from my hobby and I am a compulsive photographer yet! Because of a very demanding job (I was for 29 years part of a team of Christian Ministers of the Gospel in a very busy local church) I wasn’t able to commit myself to a camera club but, as I approached retirement I was able to join my fellow enthusiasts at the Pontefract CC and I am enjoying every minute of it.
